Early voting ongoing

By Judith Pannebaker BCC Editor

Early voting in the Texas Primary Election continues now through Friday, May 25.

This gives all registered voters in Bandera County an opportunity to help determine Republican and Democrat candidates who will be on the ballot for state, county and national offices in the upcoming Tuesday, Nov. 6 election.

Make your voice heard by:
• Voting early - Polling places for early voting include the Ray Mauer Courthouse Annex on 12th Street in Bandera; Medina Annex, 161 East Parker Street, in Medina; and the Lakehills Area Library, 7200 FM 1283, in Lakehills. Polling places are open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

• Voting prepared - To cast a ballot, all that is needed is a voter registration card. Photo IDs are not necessary. However, voters who have lost or misplaced their cards should be prepared to offer another form of identification, such as a Texas driver's license card, birth certificate or passport.

Those unable to take advantage of early voting are reminded to cast their ballots between 7 am and 7 pm, Tuesday, May 29 - Texas Primary Election Day.

The run-off election is slated for Tuesday, July 31, with voting at the Ray Mauer Courthouse Annex, Medina Annex and the Lakehills Area Library.

Early voting will take place Monday, July 23, through Friday, July 27.

Remember to vote now or vote later - just don't forget to vote.

Vote like the next four years depended on it.
