Notary education seminar set

The State Notary Commission will be hosting the Texas Notary Law and Procedure Seminar for current, new and non-notary participants that would like to apply for their 4-year commission in Texas at the seminar.

Notary public training is recommended when the applicant initially applies for a state commission and again midway through the commission term for legislative updates from the Secretary of State's office.

The seminar will be held Wednesday, May 16, from 1:30-4:30 pm in the AACOG classroom 1-01, 1st floor at 8700 Tesoro Drive, San Antonio.

Notary Education is not provided when applicants apply for a Texas commission. The applicant must seek out a training opportunity in their area to be informed on the legal procedures for processing documents, new legislation enacted every two years and the requirements for state record keeping.

Notary Public Training protects the employee and the employer from liability and the long term validity of the documents certified by the notary. Attached is a registration form for the session currently being offered at AACOG. To register for the session or for questions, please contact Dixie Lucey, Director of Education for State Notary Commission.

To register for this session please complete the registration form available at www.aacog.com and return it with your payment to State Notary Commission, PO Box 10141, Austin, TX 78766.
