GMA-9 to meet in Bandera

The Groundwater Management Area 9 (GMA-9) joint planning committee will hold an open meeting Monday, April 30 at 10 am at the Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District offices at 440 FM 3240 in Bandera.

The planning committee is comprised of district representatives from the following groundwater conservation districts located wholly or partially within Groundwater Management Area 9:

Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District, Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Conservation District, Blanco-Pedernales Groundwater Conservation District, Cow
Creek Groundwater Conservation District, Edwards Aquifer Authority, Headwaters Groundwater Conservation District, Hays-Trinity Groundwater Conservation District, Trinity-Glen Rose Groundwater Conservation District, and Medina County Groundwater Conservation District.

The agenda will include updates on Texas Water Development Board actions, a report from the GMA-9 Technical Group regarding DFC compliance monitoring strategies, and discussion and possible action on review of existing GMA-9 DVCs for the Ellenburger, Hickory and Marble Falls aquifers.
