On Monday, April 2, William Mack, 18, of Bandera was traveling west on FM 470 when he ran off the roadway and flipped his vehicle.

Mack reported he was distracted in the vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, and reached for his cell phone. The vehicle ran off the road and the driver over corrected, sending the vehicle off the road on the other side. The car ran up an embankment and rolled over.

Although Mack had serious injuries according to DPS reports, he refused treatment at the scene.

The accident occurred at 2:43 pm.

On Saturday, April 14, an accident occurred on Wharton's Dock Road .3 miles from Rodeo Road at 11:04 pm.

A deer ran in front of the vehicle driven by Robert Drotos, 77, of Bandera, who was traveling east on Wharton's Dock Road. Drotos over-corrected while trying to avoid hitting the deer, striking the ditch on the opposite side of the road.

The vehicle came to rest upright facing north.

Drotos' wife, a passenger in the vehicle, suffered serious injuries.
