Bandera student selected for TAPPS Academic All-State


Geneva School of Boerne athletes were named to the TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) 1A Academic All-State Team, which recognizes students' excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

Geneva female student-athletes earning this award were Madison Gombert, volleyball; Abby Leeder, basketball; Linsey Peterson, volleyball and basketball; Natalie Perez, volleyball; and Becca Winston, volleyball. Peterson, a senior, is the daughter of daughter of Bandera residents Neil and Jo Ann and Peterson,

Geneva male student-athletes selected for this honor were Marcial Brock, six-man football; Jack Clifford, cross country; Jacob Ryan, cross country; Nick Thornton, basketball; and Nolan Townsend, basketball.

To be nominated for this award, students must be a junior or senior, have at least a 90 cumulative grade point average and be selected to at least First Team All-District in their respective sport or finish in the top 15 runners at the cross country state meet.
