Van Dolomen to speak to BCRW

National Committee-woman from Texas Borah Van Dolomen will be guest speaker at the Friday, April 13, meeting of the Bandera County Republican Women. The luncheon meeting begins at 11:30 am at the Silver Sage Corral Senior Activity Center, 803 Buck Creek Boulevard.

We owe thanks to Lila Ward who persuaded Borah that Bandera Republicans are ready, willing and able to help take back the White House in November," said BCRW President Kerry Schneider. "If you have never heard Borah speak, you are in for a treat. She will fire you up, make you proud to be an American, make you laugh and at the same time make you mad as hell at the direction our country is heading."

Prior to being elected as Texas National Committeewoman, Van Dolomen retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel in the United States Army after serving her country for 23 years. A lifelong Republican, she said, "Our party has always reflected its devotion to country, family, faith, and its utmost appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy. After serving around the world and witnessing areas of strife, it deepened my commitment to these very principles and ideals we share as conservatives."

The fifth generation Texan has also served the Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW) as vice president of finance, vice president of legislation, chairman of leadership development, district director coordinator and district director of Senatorial District 24.

Van Dolomen also served as president of the TFRW in 2006 thru 2007. During the 77th Texas Legislature session, she served as legislative aide for District 94 Republican State Representative Kent Grusendorf.

Van Dolomen also contributes significant amounts of time and talent to the Republican Party of Bell County in fundraising and grassroots organization.

"I've had the pleasure of knowing Borah for several years. She was president of the Texas Federation Republican Women when I first became TFRW SD 19 Director in 2007," said Ward. "She is an amazing leader.

Texans are so fortunate to have her representing us in Washington. She's always the same person whether in Bandera, Austin or Washington."
