Open house set for education master's program

The Schreiner University Graduate Program in Education will host an open house from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Thursday, March 29, at the Alumni House on the Schreiner campus.

The event provides the opportunity to meet informally with graduate faculty and discuss the benefits and requirements for enrolling in Schreiner's Master of Education, a hybrid program with sessions held both online and in a classroom situation, that takes only three semesters to complete.

Master of Education classes meet once a month on Saturdays during spring and fall semesters and once a week during June. All other instruction is online. Hill Country school principals may nominate teachers in their schools for a $1,000 scholarship. Schreiner also offers an online Principal Certification program.

"This program is designed for busy professional educators who want all the benefits of personal contact and collaboration with colleagues and faculty," said Dr. Neva Cramer, director of education and graduate studies.
