HCAF announces calls for 'Sticks & Stones III'

The Hill Country Arts Foundation is calling for entries for "Sticks & Stones III," a members' show on display from March 16 through April 27. As in previous years, the exhibition will be an indoor-outdoor show.

Artists exhibiting indoors may submit up to three pieces of artwork for a hanging fee of $20. With space allowing, all work submitted will be displayed. Artists who wish to exhibit outdoors should contact Al Zirkel at 830-367-5121, Ext. 225.

"Sticks & Stones III" will build on last year's theme of the relationship between man and nature. This might include interpreting how man impacts nature whether in a positive or negative sense. It can also show how natural forces impact man and his place in the world.

Artists are also encouraged to send a "green message" out to the viewer showing how man and nature can become more harmonious or how found objects can be recycled into art.

Entries for the indoor show must be delivered to HCAF from 10 am to 4 pm, on Thursday and Friday, March 8 and 9. Arrangements for early submission can be made by calling the gallery office at 830-367-5120. All artists submitting work should be current members of HCAF. Non-members who wish to participate may purchase HCAF memberships at the time of delivery.

Anyone not sure of their membership status should call Teri at the gallery office.

The Hill Country Arts Foundation is located at 120 Point Theatre Road South in Ingram, five miles west of Kerrville off Highway 39.
