The Bandera Fine Arts Club will host best-selling author Paullette Jiles as the featured speaker at their February meeting.

The event will take place at the Bandera United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 2 pm, Tuesday, Feb. 7.

Jiles is a poet and memoirist who lives in the San Antonio area. She has published best selling novels "Enemy Women," and "Stormy Weather" with Harper Collins Publishers. Other books include "Cousins," a memoir, and "The Color of Lightning."

Her hobbies include singing in a choir, taking care of her "ranchito," riding with friends and going to the opera.

"Ms. Jiles should be a very interesting speaker for our members and guests," said a spokesman for Fine Arts.

Guests are always welcome to attend the Fine Arts Club's programs.
