Wildlife tax valuation seminar set at CNC in Kendall County

A Wildlife Tax Valuation Seminar will be held at the Cibolo Nature Center in Kendall County on three successive Saturdays, Jan. 9, 16 and 23.
designed especially for owners of less than 500 acres, this in-depth seminar will emphasize wildlife management for songbirds.
The series of seminars was created for landowners who have an agricultural valuation on their land or who are interested in managing wildlife.
Presenters will assist participants understand the history of this Texas law and fulfill requirements to qualify for a wildlife management tax valuation. Participants who complete this three-part seminar will develop a concrete plan that can be readily applied.
The first session, “Overview & Property Inventory,” takes place from 9 am until 1 pm, Saturday, Jan. 9. Session 2, “Management Practices & Habitat Assessment,” will be held from 9 am until 2:30 pm, Saturday, Jan. 16. The final session, “WTV History and Update on the Law, Application Procedures, & Putting It All Together” will be presented from 9 am until 1 pm, Saturday, Jan. 23.
Cost for the three-part series for CNC members is $80 per person or $100 per couple. Cost for non-members is $100 per person and $125 per couple. Pre-registration is required since the seminar will be limited to 35 participants. All classes will take place in the CMC auditorium.
