2011-09-08'Ranching 101' Seminar Set at Pleasanton
The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) will host a Ranching 101 seminar in Pleasanton, Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Atascosa Livestock Exchange. The seminar will begin at 8 am and end at 2 pm.
While the seminar is designed specifically for people starting off in the ranching business, anyone interested in the cattle business is invited to attend. The seminar will offer participants practical, sound guidance on the tools and equipment needed to get started in ranching - how to properly match livestock and natural resources such as pasture and water; basic herd health, nutrition and animal care; managing business finances; and theft prevention.
This brief course will arm any livestock owner with practical information for immediate use and benefit.
The Atascosa Livestock Exchange is located at 2002 Highway 97 West in Pleasanton.
