Ranchers and Landowners' annual membership meeting scheduled

The Ranchers and Landowners Association of Texas will begin it's 17th year by inviting the membership and the general public to attend their traditional yearly membership meeting. The gathering will be on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the BEC Community Room starting at 7 pm and as RLAT has done for the last few years, the invited guest speakers will be Bandera County Judge Richard Evans and Bandera County Sheriff Dan Butts.
Judge Evans will present the annual report on the condition of Bandera County and cover various topics such as county finances, possible capital projects, Bandera County Court and other subjects of interest to taxpayers and citizens. This is an excellent opportunity for those in attendance to ask questions about County government and what Bandera County is planning for the future.
Sheriff Butts will inform the public as to the status of crime in the county, crime prevention, operation of the Bandera County jail, manpower issues and other penitent topics related to Bandera County Law Enforcement.
RLAT President Fidel C. Ramirez will give a run down of RLAT activities during 2016 and what the organization has planned for 2017. He will elaborate on the RLAT Reward Fund, designed to assist law enforcement in solving crimes committed against RLAT members and or their property. This is in itself a great benefit offered to members. If you are not a member you are urged to consider becoming an RLAT member. Individual memberships are only $25 per year and your membership will be accepted at the meeting. Refreshments and light snacks will be served.
