BC Land Management Workshop

A Bandera County Land Management Workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 30, at Mansfield Park, 2886 Highway 16 North.
Pre-registration is required. Advance cost is $15 and $20 at the door. The session offers five hours pending TDA CEUs for commercial, non-commercial and private applicators – two hours general, one hour IPM and two hours laws and regulations.
Registration begins at 8:30 am and lunch will be at noon. The following topics will be covered:
• 9 am - Pond Construction and Management, Justin Chenault, NRCS
• 10 am - Stock Pond Management, Lynn Post and Larry Stark, NRCS (tentative)
• 1 am - Pesticide Regulations Update, Vick Alexander, Texas Department of Agriculture
• 1 pm - Rangeland, Native Grass Seeding and Plant ID, Kason Haby, NRCS range specialist
• 2 pm - Brush Management Methods, Dr. Robert Lyons, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service

The program is provided in partnership with the Bandera Soil and Water Conservation District and the Natural Resource Conservation Service.
