Backyard Basics - food preservation workshops set

Bandera County residents who are interested in learning the basics of food preservation and how to can or jam fruits and vegetables are invited to attend a pair of Backyard Basics workshops hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office of Bandera County.
The first Backyard Basics program, The Basics of Food Preservation- learning how to use a pressure canner and water bath canner, will be held Thursday, July 17, from 1 pm to 3:30 pm.
The second, Jams and Jellies- learning how to make and process your own jams, jellies, and preserves, will be held Thursday, August 21, from 1 pm to 3:30 pm.
