Beef Cattle & Range Management Workshop

The Bandera County Extension Ag/NR Committee has organized a Beef Cattle and Range Management Workshop for Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 6-9 pm at the Bandera County Recreation Center in Mansfield Park.

Program topics will include: Range Health, Carrying Capacity, Setting a Stocking Rate, Estimating Grazable Acres, Herbivore Dietary Preferences and Economic Considerations of Restocking.

Speakers include Drs. Rick Machen, Extension Livestock Specialist and Bob Lyons, Extension Range Specialist.

Dinner will be served and 2.5 hours of CEU credit will be offered.
Cost will be $15/person. Please RSVP to the Bandera County Extension Office at 830-796-7755 by Friday, Sept. 7.
