Are you a current 4-H member? If so, don't forget about re-enrolling for the 2012-2013 year. All youth and adults desiring to join 4-H must enroll annually. Re-enrollment will be available on 4-H Connect beginning this month. 4-H Connect is the enrollment and event registration program available through Texas 4-H.
To access your account, go to https://texas.4honline.com. The participation fee to enroll in 4-H is $20 thru Oct. 31. Beginning Nov. 1, the fee increases to $25.
Youth are eligible to participate in 4-H if they are eight years old and in the third grade or nine years of age by August 31, 2012 and have not reached their 19th birthday on or before August 31, 2012.
The Bandera County 4-H Program offers many activities for both youth and adults to experience 4-H at the local, county, district, state and national level. Through 4-H, members have opportunities to apply for scholarships, travel the country and meet new friends.
It doesn't matter if you live in town or the country, 4-H has an opportunity for you. Do you like to take pictures? Then photography is for you! Do you like to learn about the environment and how to save the resources of our world? Then the natural resources project is made for you! Regardless of your interest, 4-H provides more than 50 different projects that youth want to be a part of.
Interested in volunteering as an adult leader? Consider that last year alone, the Texas 4-H Youth Development program involved more than 39,000 adults in providing fun, hands-on learning opportunities to more than 1 million Texas youth.
We are always looking to expand our volunteer leader base to provide additional project opportunities to youth. If you have the time and interest to share your skills, knowledge and talents then we want you!
