Cattle Management seminar in Jourdanton
The Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative and the Natural Resources Conservation Service will host a cattle management seminar in Jourdanton on Tuesday, August 21. The event will run from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. It will be held at American Legion Post 0436, 1404 Zanderson.
The program will include TPWD wildlife management expert Bill Armstrong speaking on "Striking a Balance Between Livestock and Wildlife," Mark Hazard speaking on "Profile of a Profitable Stocker Operation" and "The Banker's View on Livestock Loans and Our Next Generation of Ranchers," long-time rancher Vance Mitchell speaking on "Staying Flexible and Profitable in the Livestock Business," and a representative from CattleFax speaking on "Cattle Market Outlook:
Trends and Industry Changes."
The registration fee is $25 per person and includes a meal. CEUs will be offered.
