Bandera Auto Center hosts grand opening

By Judith Pannebaker

It was jumpin’ on Highway 16 South – 4333, to be exact – during the official grand opening of the Bandera Auto Center on Thursday, Oct. 29.

The business-after-hours mixer also served as the unofficial kickoff for Hunters’ Weekend in Bandera County. However, the designated sanctioned, certified and approved opening is set for Friday, Nov. 6, with the Hunter’s Bar-B-Q and Exposition at the Mansfield Park Show Barn. Doors open at 3 pm. Don’t miss it!

Last week’s event was sponsored by Alex Donalson, general manager of Bandera Auto Center, and Brick Gibson, owner of Brick’s River Café on North Main Street behind the River Oaks Motel in Bandera.

Was it a success? You betcha. According to Donalson, he had little time to visit with friends because business kept interrupting his good times. And the beef fajitas and other Mexicali favorites, concocted by Gibson and served by his able crew, Larry and Colleen Batto, drew nothing but raves – and seconds and thirds and fourths!
