Fine Arts group to hear author

The Bandera Fine Arts Club will have author Paullette Jiles as the featured speaker at their February meeting. The event will take place at the Bandera United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 2 pm, Tuesday, Feb. 7.

Jiles is a poet and memoirist who lives in the San Antonio area. She has published best selling novels "Enemy Women," and "Stormy Weather" with Harper Collins Publishers. Other books include "Cousins," a memoir, and "The Color of Lightning."

Her hobbies include singing in a choir, taking care of her "ranchito," riding with friends and going to the opera.

"Ms. Jiles should be a very interesting speaker for our members and guests," said a spokesman for Fine Arts.

Guests are always welcome to attend the Fine Arts Club's programs.
