Tickets on sale for 'Christmas at The Point'

Rehearsals are underway and tickets are now on sale for The Point Theatre's next production, "Christmas at The Point," directed by Caren Harris. The musical variety show, written by Ellen Bitkower and James Harris, runs Friday, Nov. 18, through Saturday, Dec. 3, on the indoor stage.
Over 20 Christmas carols will be featured, including "Silver Bells," "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and "White Christmas."
Jeff Talarico will serve as emcee for "Christmas at The Point." Actors James Harris, Dowell Mudry, Lance Billingsley, and Ellen Bitkower will perform holiday skits.
Musicians and vocalists James Harris, guitar; Karen Billingsley, keyboard; Brad Shearhart, bass; Greg Bitkower, guitar and guitar-synth; Lance Billingsley, guitar; Dowell Mudry, guitar; and Paul Seibel, drums will accompany singers, Ian Banchs, Caren Harris, and Joan Bryson.
Bitkower, Shearhart and Karen Billingsley were part of the band in The Point's summer hit "Buddy-The Buddy Holly Story." Lance Billingsley and Banchs also appeared in the production.
Additional singers include Jessie Putnam, Rachel McCormick, Moriah McMinn, Collin Cook, Laura Beene, Ashlee Salazar, Chris Garcia, Jacob Vela and Albert Garcia.
The production staff includes Ellen Bitkower, assistant director and costumer; Greg Bitkower, musical director; and Karen Billingsley, choir director.
Performances for "Christmas at The Point" will begin at 7:30 pm, Friday and Saturday and 2 pm, Sunday.
"The show will be performed on Thanksgiving weekend, so take a break from turkey and football and come out to The Point," said Brenda Harrison, Hill Country Arts Foundation executive director.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youths 17 years and younger. For reservations or more information, call 830-367-5121. The Point Theatre is located at 120 Point Theatre Road South in Ingram.
