PET OF THE WEEK-- Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch

Contributed

If this little guy looks familiar it's because Pilgrim was featured on the Bandera County Courier's Pet Welfare page last December. The day before Thanksgiving, the good folks at the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch in Medina snatched him from the Kerrville Animal Control - just in the nick of time. It wasn't long before this smart-as-a-whip terrier mix found what he thought would be his forever home. Alas, it was not to be. We recently received word from Cousin Nancy that Pilgrim is back at the rescue ranch because his guardians ran into economic difficulties. "He's intelligent, super sweet and wants you to come adopt him," Cousin Nancy said of this little guy. About 18 months old, Pilgrim is keeping his paws crossed that he'll find a forever, forever home by Christmas. If you'd like to meet Pilgrim, call Nancy at 830-589-7544. To take a gander at the rest of the ranch's adorable - and adoptable - four-legged friends, visit http://www.utopiarescue.com/. Despite its name, this wonderful animal rescue is conveniently located in Medina just a couple of miles off Highway 16 North.

Tell 'em the Courier sent you - and, when you visit, don't forget to take some biscuits for the bowsers!
