Many Thanks To Our Community!

The Spirits of Christmas Board of Directors

The holidays are far behind us now. However, there is one more enjoyable task to be done. The Spirits of Christmas Presents would like to extend a very heartfelt THANK YOU for the overwhelming support received from so many. Because of our community's generosity, many families were able to enjoy food and gifts this past Christmas.
First on our long list of gratitude, are Jessie Parks and the Helping Hand Center volunteers who do so much for the Spirits of Christmas every year. From storage of canned goods to passing out the food boxes, we appreciate everything they do.
Along with Thousand Trails, who give their monetary support so generously each year, all donations we receive, large or small, make this happen each year. The food drives at Bandera I.S.D. and Medina I.S.D. are always so successful. We thank you. Also, thanks to Super S for giving meat vouchers this year to support our efforts.
Along with food and toys, it takes a tremendous army of volunteers to get everything ready for the big delivery date. Many, many thanks to all the volunteers, shoppers and wrappers who worked under the watchful, loving and fun-loving eye of Cecelia Schmidtke. She, along with her wonderful sidekick Jim Syfrett, whips us all into shape every year. A special thanks to the Bandera United Methodist Church for the use of their beautiful Fellowship Hall while we organized and wrapped all the presents. We would also like to thank Rudy at Cowboy Capital Cleaners for cleaning and storing our Santa suits for the year.
Last, but by no means least, thank you to all the Santas and elves who delivered happiness to all the families. To all of you who make the spirit of Christmas come alive in Bandera County, we thank you.
