‘Baubles & Beads’ fundraiser set for October
The seventh annual “Baubles & Beads” Style Show and Luncheon will be held, beginning at 10 am, Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Inn of the Hills Resort and Conference Center.
Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Peterson Regional Medical Center Breast Cancer Assistance Fund and the Executive Women’s Club (EWC) Scholarship Program.
Held annually by EWC, this event features a program providing educational information, a luncheon, fashions provided by Hill Country boutiques and door prize baskets courtesy of EWC members.
“Baubles & Beads” is traditionally held in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event raises awareness and provides an opportunity for women in the Kerrville community to support a program that benefits local women needing assistance in affording breast cancer treatments and medications.
Peterson Regional Medical Center and Dr. Rebecca Barrington administer the fund. Since 2002, more than $55,000 has been donated to the fund through “Baubles & Beads.”
During the event, the “Looking Fine and Feeling Fit Emporium” will offer a wide assortment of retailers showcasing women’s fashions, jewelry, cosmetics and accessories, plus local health professional services that include cosmetic surgeons, spas, nutrients and more.
Vendor booths will open at 10 am and will close during lunch. The Emporium will re-open for additional shopping from 1 pm until 2 pm.
Assorted raffle tickets are on sale for $5 each or three for $10 for various Hill Country prize packages, ranging in value from $250 to $3,500. Also, on sale for $25 each are chances to win a trip to New York City valued at $3,500, which includes round trip airline tickets for two, a two night hotel stay and tickets for two to a Broadway show. Tickets selling for $50 each will be sold for a raffle for a furniture package valued at $15,000. Net proceeds benefit the “Baubles & Beads” fundraiser.
