Bandera resident Ron White was recently inducted into the Omega Iota Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.
A senior at West Texas A&M University, White is majoring in Emergency Management Administration.
Currently employed as a paramedic with the San Antonio Fire Department, he holds Texas Commission on Fire Protection Master Certifications in structural and aircraft firefighting, as well as an associate degree in fire science.
Pi Sigma Alpha was founded in 1920 at the University of Texas to bring together students and faculty interested in the study of government and politics. Membership in Pi Sigma Alpha is open to juniors, seniors and graduate students enrolled in political science programs.
Pi Sigma Alpha is the only honor society for college and university students of government in the United States. Members are required to meet high academic standards in political science as well as general academic coursework.
