Hill Country residents will notice a number of characters dressed as pirates, time travelers, and Victorian royalty arrive for the Wild West Victorian Fest Friday through Sunday, Dec 15-17, at Kerrville’s River Star Arts and Events Park and Hill Country Youth Event Center.

Described as a place “where cowboys and steampunk collide,” the new Wild West Victorian Fest will be at Kerrville’s River Star Arts and Events Park and Hill Country Youth Event Center from Friday, Dec. 15, through Sunday, Dec. 17.
“We create a magical world where technology stopped in the Industrial Revolutions,” said organizer April Cory of Hill Country Festivals. “Imagine a world of Jules Verne or Dr. Who, where people dress up as time travelers and interact with the audience. We want people to come out and just be in the moment.”
The three-day event will feature food booths, handmade arts and crafts, games, belly dancers, strolling entertainers, live music, demonstrations, and activities.
Scheduled attractions include:
• Last Chance Forever Birds of Prey
• Tea with Queen Victoria
• Evening Ball
• Austin Séance
• Marquis of Vaudeville Steampunk Band
• Dublin Harpers
• Old Bridge Rhythm Band
• The Great Rondini Escape Artist
• Cowboy Poetry and Songs
• Photo Contest
• Steampunk Art Contest
Several area nonprofits will benefit, including Last Chance Forever Birds of Prey, Ultimate Gift of Life, and Kerrville’s Art to Heart.
