Through Dec. 2, Art in the Library program
The Lakehills Area Library has sponsored the Art in the Library program for almost two years. Each month the library welcomes different local artists to exhibit their works from the first Saturday of the month until the first Saturday of the following month. For the month of November, the library is pleased to introduce two new artists to the community: Kelly McCay and Ryan Raschbaum.
Kelly McCay takes other people’s trash and turns it into treasures. She says she doesn’t recycle, but instead she “upcycles.” Her creativity is not only beautiful, but her upcycled creations make delightful gifts. Customers can order from her group page on Facebook under Kelly Upcycled Gifts and More or they can email her at kmccay5@gmail.com.
Graphic designer Ryan Raschbaum was honored to design the official logo of the 2017 Texas State Fair. A signed, framed poster is on display at the library. The posters can be ordered online at bigtexstore.com. Raschbaum is donating the proceeds from signed posters to the Hurricane Harvey relief effort.
Thursday, Nov. 23- Sunday, Nov. 26- The library will be closed. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sign up now!: The Lakehills Library Board is seeking local crafters, artists, and entrepreneurs to be a part of our Holiday Market Day. Booths start at $10. If you are interested in renting booth space, please call the library at 830-510-2777.
