Keeping Up with Medina Matters

by Bev Barr

Mother's Day Out for the holidays.
Mark your calendar, make your appointments and grab a friend! The Medina United Methodist Church is ready to serve you this holiday season. As part of the church’s ministry and to ascertain the needs and interests of the community, they will introduce a pilot “Mothers Day Out” program in November and December. If you’re a mom or dad looking for some time for yourself, this childcare program is being created for you. So whether you want to go holiday or grocery shopping, or need to go to a doctor’s appointment, or are interested in volunteering in the community, or interested in attending Bible study or pursuing some other personal enrichment opportunity — you can do so without children under your feet!
Classes will be offered two Fridays in November and December for ages 18-months through kindergarten. This is a Christian program and the schedule will include music, prayer, a Bible story, lesson activities, games, crafts, mealtime and playtime.
WHEN: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fridays, Nov. 10 & 17; and
Dec. 8 & 15
TUITION: $40/month per child, additional siblings $30/month
SIGN UP: 9 to 11 a.m., Friday, October 6, at The Core.
