Symphony of the Hills “Dance” concert

Symphony of the Hills of Kerrville presents Invitation to the Dance: Dance Music of the Ages at 7:30 pm, Thursday, Feb. 23 at Cailloux Theater, 910 Main, Kerrville. The event will be preceded by a wine reception in the lobby at 6:30 pm.
The program will include Bach: Orchestral Suite BWV 1069 in D Major; Von Weber: “Invitation to the Dance”; J Strauss, Jr: “Tales from the Vienna Woods”; Smetana: Dance of the Comedians; John Adams: Chairman Dances; Faure: Pavane, Op. 50; Copland: Hoedown from “Rodeo” and Rodriguez: La Cumparsita Tango.
Tickets start at $24 and can be reserved online at www.symphonyofthehills.org. Tickets may also be purchased from the box office prior to the concert.
Reservations for Patron seating for Season 2017-2018 will be available prior to the April 27 concert.
Symphony of the Hills concerts are funded through season ticket sales, corporate and individual donations, grants and other assistance, and program advertising. Orchestra musicians come from the Hill Country area and include professionals, Schreiner University faculty, and advanced music students.
The Symphony is committed to expanding the appreciation of symphonic music throughout the Texas Hill Country and continues its tradition of providing musical enrichment to schoolchildren in the area.
