4 Way Bar and Grill hosts Uncle Ken’s Life Celebration

By Sandy Jennings BCC Staff Writer

Only nine months old, The 4 Way Bar and Grill, located at 9742 FM 1283, is the newest hot spot for family dining packed with fun activities and Lakehills nightlife featuring a full bar and live music.
When the Stiles family opened their doors on April 23, 2016, they wanted to create more than a restaurant with great food.
“At our restaurant, it is not just about what you can eat and drink, it’s about where you can do it,” 4 Way said. “We provide our customers with a unique, friendly and energetic atmosphere the whole family is sure to have fun with us.”
Besides delicious food, The 4 Way, formerly known as Cowan’s on the Creek, offers a full bar, live music, pool tables, darts, video games, dancing, karaoke and special events.
“We took over the restaurant that was once Cowan’s on the Creek, but we’ve proudly maintained the location’s delicious food, musician-friendly environment, and excellent customer service,” 4 Way said. “The locals have given our restaurant a shot and they’re loving it! Our burgers are a huge hit, and everyone seems to appreciate what we’ve done with the place.”
This Friday, The 4 Way will host Uncle Ken’s Life Celebration Party with an invite to the public, starting around 5 pm and featuring music by the Nick Lawrence Band.
“Uncle Ken's dream was to keep The 4 Way rocking in the Stiles family forever, and that is exactly what we are going to do! We are just getting started.” Stiles family member said.
Owner Ken Stiles, known affectionately as Uncle Kenny and a beloved member of The 4 Way family, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 4. The 4 Way took time off following their loss and will reopen on this Friday with the special event.
New hours of operation are Wednesday and Thursday 11 am until midnight, Friday and Saturday 11 am until 2 am and closed on Sunday through Tuesdays. A new late night food menu will be available until midnight, along with new daily lunch specials. Happy hour is Wednesday through Saturday from 4 pm to 7 pm.
Upcoming events include the Chris Lopez Band on Friday, Jan. 27 and the Broken Duckfeet Band on Saturday, Jan. 28. Both bands will be featured from 9 pm until 1 am.
Known for their “big ‘n juicy” hamburgers, the 4 Way offers a complete menu with everything from fried green beans to country fried sirloin steak, with prices ranging from $4 up to $24 for a ribeye steak and shrimp.
The food menu includes “family size” appetizers, salads, “handhelds” (including Vince’s Cheesy Chicken Bacon Club), “Texas size favorites” (including Taylor’s Fish and Shrimp Dinner), 4 Way Big ‘n Juicy Burgers (including the Lakehills Legend Cheeseburger) and homemade desserts.
The full bar includes 20 different domestic and import beers, spirits and margaritas, with prices ranging from $2 to $20 for a pitcher of frozen margaritas.
