Lakehills Library

New artists - New artists displaying their works at the library include Jessica Hawley and John Elliot.
Book club - The night time club meets the first Monday of the month at 6 pm and the day time club meets the last Tuesday of the month at 1 pm. Join one or both to expand your reading list, share ideas with new friends and enjoy discussing the book of the month. Refreshments are served by the host each month.
Story Time - Story Time is every Wednesday at 10:30 am for kids of all ages. Several stories are read to the children, followed by a coloring sheet, craft or special project every week. Please join us for learning and playtime at the library.
Board meetings - Lakehills Library board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 3 pm. The public is always welcome.
Smith visit - Congressman Lamar Smith will be visiting Friday, Jan. 22. He will be bringing a flag to raise at the library that has flown over our nation's capital. He will also discuss recent news from Washington, followed with a question and answer session. He will finish by raising the flag, assisted by local Hill Country Elementary students. The public is invited to attend this event at 9 am.
Fundraiser plans - The library is gearing up for its annual dinner and auction fundraiser. The event will be held at Lakehills Civic Center on Saturday, Feb. 13, from 5 pm to 7:30 pm. The dinner will be Gerry's Famous Chicken Spaghetti with salad, bread and a beverage, followed by the auction.
If you have an item you would like to contribute to the auction, please bring it by the library or call Dianna at 830-510-2777.
Tickets for the dinner are $8 and can be purchased at the library. Raffle tickets for a 55" Samsung Smart Television are available at the library or though a library board member for donations of $1 each or six for $5.
Please show your support and join us at the dinner. All proceeds go to fund the operations of the Lakehills Area Library.
