Villa Finale's 'Drawing on Experience ...'

Contributed

To create art is human; to create a drawing is to express yourself and have a good look at your subject!
Staff and volunteers at Villa Finale invite children between the ages of six and 12 and an accompanying parent to take a short tour of the house; choose an object in the museum's vast collection; have a seat at a table with the object; and draw it at their own pace and in their own style. Museum staff will be on hand to give pointers and information about the objects.
"Drawing on Experience: For the Love of Art," will take place from 10 am to 11:30 am, Saturday, Feb. 7. The program is designed to allow children and a parent to examine museum objects close at hand and learn about their structure, care and importance. Paper and pencils will be provided.
Admission for non-members is $5 for one child and a parent, and $2.50 for each additional child. Members pay $4 for one child and a parent and $2 for each additional child. Space is limited.
For more information, call 210-223-9800. Villa Finale is located in the King William District of San Antonio.
