Bird hike set at HCSNA

Contributed

A winter morning walk with nature will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Hill Country State Natural Area west of Bandera.
Come spot the actual "snow birds" on your hill country winter bird list, said Ranger Leanne Beauxbeannes. The guides will be an experienced birder and Texas Master Naturalist as well as the park interpretive ranger. This walk is for all experience levels.
Meet at the park headquarters at 10600 Bandera Creek Road by 8:15 am to register; dress in layers for weather; and bring water, binoculars and guide books. You might want to bring snacks and your camera, too.
Regular entry fees apply: $6 and seniors 65+ with ID are $3. If you have an annual pass, then fees are waived for everyone in one vehicle. Children 12 and under always free.
The phone number at the park is 830-796-4413. RSVPs are always welcome.
