Kerrville Art Club hosts contemporary artist

Contributed

Members of the Kerrville Art Club will host Texas contemporary artist, Sally Fraser, for a demonstration at their January meeting, set for 1 pm, Tuesday, Jan. 20. The meeting will be held at the Kerr Arts and Cultural Center, 228 Earl Garrett, in Kerrville.
After receiving a BA in education, an MA in library science and retiring, Fraser built an art studio in her backyard in Austin. She took art classes at University of Texas, Laguna Gloria and Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, NM.
"I have placed in many juried shows within different medias including a first and second, third and honorable mention recently in abstracts," Fraser said. "I tend to paint with a sense of personal expression in content, design, brushstrokes, scrapping, spattering or whatever it takes to get the desired effect, but always with texture and color. Multi-media is especially a form of art that I am particularly fond of because of the gathering process."
