4H honors Buettner

Dina Buettner, a seven-year 4H volunteer leader of the Bandera County 4H Horse Project was selected as a 2014 Texas 4H Salute to Excellence Volunteer winner during Texas 4H State Roundup, June 11, at Texas A&M University, College Station. Buettner is very passionate about youth, horses, rodeo, and livestock judging. She helped organize the successful Bandera 4H Youth Open Rodeo series, raising money to send youth to horse judging camp and horse project activities. Serving as a horse judging coach, Buettner has taken a senior 4H horse judging team to the state 4H contest for five years and has also had a national 4H horse judging team. She has helped many students earn scholarships through horse judging and rodeo.
