With 210 volunteers, the 2014 Medina River Cleanup, held Saturday, May 5, boasted the second largest participation in the last 14 years. "The largest participation was in 2010 when we had water to paddle," said Bob Brischetto, cleanup coordinator. "This cleanup was done mostly by hiking the river. Only 33 volunteers paddled." Stay tuned for more information and images of this important community-wide event in the Thursday, May 15, edition of the Bandera County Courier.
