Mr. Smith comes to the Courier

On his whistle stop across Bandera on Thursday, Feb. 20, prior to the Republican Primary Election, Congressman Lamar Smith visited the Bandera County Courier and shared some "Inside the Beltway" info with owner and publisher Gail Joiner. That morning, Smith also met with city and county elected officials and, along with County Attorney Janna Lindig, spoke to students at Bandera Middle School. Later that afternoon, he made an unexpected stop at the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch. Smith handily defeated his opponent in the primary and will not face a Democrat challenger in November's midterm election. Congratulations on your win, Congressman Smith. The Courier is looking forward to your next visit to the Hill County.
