Bandera High School FCCLA heads to state

Two of Bandera High School's three FCCLA teams will advance to state competition in April. The Bandera High School FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) competed at the Region 5 Conference in Corpus Christi on Feb. 1. BHS' Chapter Service Project Team and the Chapter in Review Team will advance to state competition. The Chapter Service Project team was composed of seniors Paige Fisher and Erin Campbell, and juniors Britney Platt, and Kaynat Masood. The Chapter in Review Team consisted of seniors Danise Leal, Ana Romero and Kendall Gooding. The Focus on Children Team was composed of juniors Chloe Verciglio and Summer Schoonmaker and senior Hailey Wilhelm. These STAR events (Students Taking Action and Recognition) are competitive events in which members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills, and career preparation.
