Last chance for Big Bend Roundup

Tired of the cold weather? Fortunately, South Texas doesn't get too much of it each year, but when it comes, it doesn't take long to cause cabin fever.
If you're ready for a getaway, you have one more chance to sign up for the Big Bend Roundup, scheduled for Feb. 19-24, and presented by Rockport Tours. The trip is confirmed to go, and final sign-up date is Friday, Dec. 20. There are only 15 seats remaining.
The trip includes a bus tour of the park, a star-gazing visit to the McDonald Observatory, shopping in Fort Davis, a Cowpoke Cookout at Prude Ranch and visits to the Big Bend Museum and the Big Bend Brewery in Alpine. For the ambitious traveler, there will also be time for hiking and exploring on foot.
And the trip is perfectly timed so that the best of West Texas wildflowers should be just bursting into bloom. Projected temperatures for Big Bend in February are high 60s in the daytime and high 40s at night.
There's also the added bonus of a portion of your trip fees going toward scholarships for young women attending college.
The cost for this great adventure is $999 per person double occupancy. Full payment must be made at the time of registration since the deadline is coming up so quickly. As soon as payment is received, Rockport Tours will send information to all paid passengers concerning trip insurance. Basic trip insurance cost is $71.
