Shop Medina this Christmas

By Mikie Baker BCC Contributor

With Christmas right around the corner, everyone is busy finding treasures to put under the tree. This weekend, the best bargains in Medina will be found in, well, Medina.
The Medina United Methodist Church will host its annual UMW Christmas Bazaar from 8 am to 2:30 pm, Saturday, Dec. 7, in the Fellowship Hall. This fabulous event boasts more fun than ever before with a white elephant sale, homemade crafts, baked goods and casseroles.
This year, there will be many fun outdoor events as well. Kids will enjoy games, popcorn and photos with Santa - all available with the purchase of a ticket at the door. Individual vendors will be located outside the church offering more great gift-giving ideas. Alpacas will be on display because furry friends need love, too.
As always, the Christmas Bazaar will offer scrumptious food, including breakfast tacos and the sale of Delicious Tamales. Door prizes have been donated by participating vendors and no purchase is necessary to enter.
All proceeds from the event will benefit local charities and missions.
"Come enjoy the best shopping spot in town this Saturday at the Medina United Methodist Church!" said an event spokesman.
