Christmas in the Cowboy Capital of the World

BBA

Christmas in Bandera is wonderful. The weather gets a bit colder and sometimes a bit wetter, putting everyone in the Christmas spirit.
Members of the Bandera Business Association will host Shoppers Jubilee for the 33rd year on Friday, Dec. 6!
The event encourages locals to visit area merchants to find that perfect Christmas gift. It is a great time for merchants to hold an open house to thank folks for shopping locally.
It doesn't cost merchants anything to be listed in our program that describes the evening's events. Those who plan to be open until 9 pm, are urged to give us a call at 830-796-4447. It isn't too late to be included in the program, and you don't have to be a member of Bandera Business Association member to participate. Just tell us your plans in 25 words or less and we will make sure you get included.
Shoppers Jubilee begins on the Bandera County Courthouse lawn with children's choirs from Noah's Ark, Bandera High School and the First Baptist Church along with the Almost Patsy Cline Trio singing carols on the courthouse steps. Students from Pipe Creek Christian School will provide a Live Nativity, along with the reading of Luke 2 by Pastor Bob Morris from White Rock Christian Fellowship.
Santa arrives at dark for a quick visit and then it's time to "Shop Bandera!"
Shopper's Jubilee becomes a magical night in downtown Bandera as carolers and small groups of musicians stroll the streets, offering musical entertainment. Many stores open their doors with goodies for visitors and many restaurants offer evening specials.
This is a great time to have a big sale in your store for the holidays. The BBA has also purchased radio ads in the Kerrville, Hondo and San Antonio area to invite folks to see what Bandera merchants have to offer. For more information about participating in this annual event, contact event coordinator Genie Strickland at 830-796-4447.
