By Carolyn B. Edwards BCC Staff Writer

Katrina Walker of Bandera has been selected to participate in the 2013 Miss Teen San Antonio pageant on Dec. 7
Walker, a senior at Bandera High School, is the daughter of Daniel and Esmeralda Walker. Her school activities include serving as co-captain of the Varsity Cheer Squad, and being an active member of the National Honor Society and the International Club. She is also a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
Walker was selected to participate in the competition following her submission of an application and being interviewed.
She will be competing for thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts in modeling routines and interviews by the judges.
Should Walker win the competition, she would go on to compete in the national competition set to be held in Orlando, Florida.
Walker has been assisted in her participation by community businesses, organizations and private individuals who have become her official sponsors in order to allow her to receive all the necessary training, rehearsals and financial support to make her a well-prepared contestant.

Anyone interested in sponsoring Walker should contact the Miss Teen San Antonio pageant coordinator at 1-877-403-6678.
