Mary Conley Secretary, Friends of the Library
This year is flying by. The holiday season is just around the corner and that means family, friends and most of all food! If you are looking for a traditional recipe, ideas for new recipes, or suggestions from the food pros, the Friends of the Library first Saturday book sale can help your search. Our Nov. 2 book sale features cookbooks of all kinds. From names like Rachel Ray, Fannie Farmer, Betty Crocker and Southern Living, to specialties like cookies, vegetables and breads, you will find it here. There are dozens and dozens of cookbooks to peruse. Don't miss this chance to expand your culinary repertoire.
For those with a tape deck, new additions include a Spanish language course and a vocabulary building course. If your New Year's resolution was to try a new author or literary genre, it is not too late to check out our wide variety of books. Our prices are always terrific.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. The Friends thank you for attending our sales, and thank you for reading.
Finally, we have a request for help. We need volunteers to maintain our sales and fundraising efforts on behalf of this wonderful library. If you can help or have questions about volunteer opportunities with the Friends of the Library, please ask at the book sale or call Mary Conley at 830-460-4217.
