All-American USAF pilot
Captain Matthew Lynn Roberson graduated from Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, on Friday, July 26. Along with his USAF Pilot wings, he received the Academic Training Award, the coveted Daedalian Air Education & Training Command Commander's Trophy, and the Distinguished Graduate Award. Roberson also served as the senior ranking officer of his training class. Roberson, along with his wife, Martha, and the couple's two daughters, will soon be stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri where he will fly the B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber. Roberson is the son-in-law of Marilyn and Constable Rod Chalmers of Utopia.
