Lakehills Library keeps busy this summer

By Dianna Landes Director, Lakehills Library

Lakehills Library is having our weekly Summer Reading program on Wednesdays at 10:30 am. Join us for reading time with a storyteller followed by a craft. There will be time to check out new books to take home and maybe even time for some games.
On July 31, Ms. LoyEd will be reading at 10:30 until 11:00 and then we will be making a time capsule.
Bandera Electric Cooperative will be a special guest for the kids on August 7 with stories and discussion about electrical safety at 10:30 am. They will be giving out surprises to the kids and letting them get an up close look at a bucket truck and the gear they use.
Summer readers should remember to turn in your summer reading logs by the end of July to get your ticket to the end of summer party with hotdogs, ice cream sundaes, prizes for everyone who turns in their log and special prize drawings!
Tuesday, July 30, is Lakehills Area Library Book club meeting. We will be meeting in at 1 pm in the meeting room. We will be discussing Sky of Red Poppies by Zorch Ghahremani. Everyone is welcome to attend and refreshments are provided.
We have several new arrivals in the library including Waiting to be Heard by Amanda Knox, I'll See You Again by Jackie Hance, The Summer Girls by Mary Alice Monroe and Tuesday's Gone by Nicci French to name just a few.
Check out our catalog online or drop by and see what we have to offer. Don't forget, if we don't have what you want available, we can order it for you through the Interlibrary Loan system. For a small fee to pay for shipping, we can obtain almost any material you are looking for in about a week.

Ask one of our librarians if you have any questions.
