Curves offers integrated weight loss program

Staff

According to Janice Taylor, owner of Curves of Bandera, people who are serious about losing weight realize that they won't get the results they want by dieting alone. They also need to exercise and they need encouragement to stick to the plan.
From this concept evolved the revolutionary new weight loss program Curves Complete® - the only program on the market that offers exercise, customized meal plans and coaching in one integrated program.
According to Curves' Registered Dietitian Nadia Rodman, the program is as simple as 1-2-3. "The Curves circuit builds strength and cardio training protects your muscles and burns fat; our proven nutrition plan is fully customizable to your lifestyle; and one-on-one consultations with Curves' coaches help you set and reach goals," Rodman said.
"If you simply follow the plan, which you print as a weekly tracking sheet and take to your coaching sessions, you simply can't help but lose - or rather, win."
Preliminary results of Curves members who participated in the program prior to its January public launch indicated that nearly 100 percent of weight lost on Curves Complete is body fat. With conventional diets, weight lost typically includes up to 30 percent muscle tissue. By preserving lean muscle, Curves Complete helps maintain or even boost the body's metabolism for better long term results.
"Ninety-five percent of dieters fail - or lose weight only to gain it all back," said Curves' Director of Exercise & Research Katie Mitchell. "It takes a combination of three things, exercise, diet and coaching or motivation, to lose weight successfully as body fat and keep it off."
She continued, "The success of the program hinges on the Curves Complete coaches, who are certified by Cleveland Clinic. Curves collaborated with the prestigious healthcare facility, ranked among the top four hospitals and ranked first among heart hospitals in the nation, to create the Curves Complete coaching certification for its clubs."
Curves Complete includes a web portal featuring simple meal planning, recipes and shopping lists; goal tracking; motivational tools; and a supportive online community, among other features. For Curves Complete online members, the web portal and tools remain free for life.
