2012-09-13-- Bandera Gun Club, Inc. -- John Webber Memorial this weekend
By Jim Harris,
OK, referees! It's time for you to win a buckle at the Bandera Gun Club's John Webber Memorial.
The shoot, which honors one of the great referees in Texas, is Sept. 13-16 and anyone who has volunteered to help in the ref department during at least two shoots this year (as determined by JM) is eligible to win a gold, silver or bronze buckle.
This year the awards will be based on the high scores in the 20 gauge contest. This is in addition to the regular awards in our registered shoots. At this time there is only one opening on the squads.
The Wednesday Fun Shoots have seen gun club owner, JM Clements add two more wins to his all-time total which now stands at 59. Joe Swinger now trails with 51. JM's last win was with the .410 at the end of August.
Joe struck back last week in the 20 gauge to bring his total to within striking distance of JM.
This week it's back to the 28 gauge. Lots of the folks from England are arriving for the World Skeet Championships in San Antonio at the end of the month and many of them use Bandera for their regular practice, so look for a few very busy Wednesdays.
Meanwhile, come on out to Bandera and "git-er-done @ 3-4&5."
