Benefit planned for Brighter Days

Equine minded organizations have planned a benefit at the Wild Horse Saloon, 134 River Bend off Highway 16 North, for the Brighter Days Horse Refuge.

The Cowboy Capitol Trail Riders, Bandera Outlaws and Helotes Dusters, in conjunction with the Wild Horse Saloon will host a Burger and Hot Dog Fundraiser from 4 pm until 8 pm, Saturday, August 4. For just $5 a plate, the meal also includes potato salad, beans and "all the trimmings."

Also on tap at the watering hole is a live auction, 50-50 raffle, dessert and sweets auction, "jail" and, of course, horseback rides.

Music will be provided by the Texas Wild Fire Band."

"Get your friends and come out for an old-fashioned get-together that benefits a great cause," said a spokesman for the benefit.
