BARBECUE DINNER
Mr. And Mrs. CL Farrer entertained a few of their friends last Sunday with a barbecue dinner on Medina Lake. There was plenty of barbecued goat, salads, pickles, bread and lemonade for dinner and supper. In the afternoon there was lots of ice cream and cakes. Those present to enjoy the occasion were Mr. And Mrs. AF Cruze Jr. and his mother, Mrs. AF Cruze Sr. and Carl Holt of San Antonio; Maurice Hay of Leon Springs; Mrs. Norma Farrer and Norma Jean Farrer of Bandera; Mr. And Mrs. OL Hay and son, Jack, Mr. and Mrs. FJ Anderwald and children, Agnes Marie, Arline, Frank Jr., Gabriel, Gilbert and Alfred, and the host and hostess, Mr. And Mrs. C.L. Farrer and children, Lois, Charley Jr. and Billy.
BIRTHDAY DANCE
Monday night Mr. and Mrs. PC Anderwald were host and hostess to a social dance and card party given to celebrate the birthday of their son, Mitchell, and in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Baker of Houston. At midnight refreshments of cake and coffee were served, the pretty pink and white birthday cake receiving its place of honor in the center of the table. Those present to wish Mitchell many more happy birthdays were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Short Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Britsch, Mr. and Mrs. Lenzie Maass, Mr. and Mrs. OF Thallman, Mr. and Mrs. DL Sansom, Mr. and Mrs. George Maass and children, Mr. and Mrs. Baker and children of Houston, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peter Anderwald and son, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Britsch, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mangold and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Faris, Mrs. JN Evans, Mrs. Gladys Manning, Mrs. Irene Byars; Misses Marie and Constance Mangold, Mary Ethel Johnson, Cleo Thallman, Hilda Gerdes, Gladys Britsch, Ethel, Gladys and Clarice Eckhart, Louise Manning, Margaret Short, Ida Bell Byars; Messrs. Tommy Johnson, Allie Thallman, Levi Evans, Lloyd Kokes, Howard Surber, Will Maass, Lester and Stanley Gerdes, Ben Gerdes, Norris Knibbe and Gus Blackwell.
