Helping Hand Serves

Amy Hawley

Silver Sage is the sole provider of Meals on Wheels in Bandera County. Our volunteers deliver meals Monday through Friday to people living in Bandera, Medina, Utopia, Tarpley, Vanderpool, Pipe Creek, Lakehills, and along Hwy 173 as far north as FM 2828. Another route delivers food to residents between Bandera and Pipe Creek.

The meals we deliver are nutritious, delicious, and meet one-third of the federal government’s Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) of nutrients. To receive Meals on Wheels, a person must be at least 60 years old and unable to fix meals for themselves due to some disability. For information about the program or to become a volunteer, call John Cressey-Neely at 836-796-4969.
