PT is rough!

Doug White

Well, before I get on this week's story I want to give an update on my broken wrist. I have a steel plate and they secured it with some loose screws they found floating around in my head. With the loose screws missing from my head now I believe I am making better judgement calls. For example, I sent the hover board back to Amazon, with not too much regret.
I am slowly getting my strength back in my hand. The physical therapy is pretty tuff and I want to get it over with ASAP.
Now to this week's story. There I was, looking through some of my feline friends' photos and came across the one I named Elvis. Yes, named after the real Elvis, the King of rock and roll. Why? Because this cool cat rocks and rolls at play time.
So today I hear Elvis Presley would have turned 81 years old this month. He is just four months older than my dear sister, Betty Merritt.
I find it very hard to believe he passed away 38 years ago. Yep, the year was 1977. I was stationed at Osan Air Base South Korea at that time. It seemed that almost instantly the local village was filled with oil paintings featuring almost every phase of Elvis's life.
There were some very gifted artists in that village.
Gee, I hate to stop here, but I need to get back to my physical therapy!
Happy 2016 New Year to you all!
